Two for the Dough
Janet Evanovich
312 pages

First sentence:  I knew Ranger was beside me because I could see his earring gleaming in the moonlight.

Reflections:  This is the second in a series of crime mysteries involving Stephanie Plum, a bounty hunter.  These books are so much fun to read.  Unlike most mysteries, these books are very funny.  Evanovich paints a vivid picture of the Trenton, NJ community in which Stephanie lives & works.  The characters are well developed, and one in particular -- Stephanie's grandmother, Grandma Mazur -- is positively hilarious.  In this book, Stephanie is on the hunt for someone while simultaneously investigating the disappearance of a large number of caskets from a funeral home.  Not surprisingly, the two situations are linked.  Body parts start showing up everywhere.  How is this funny?  Well, you just have to read the book.
